May
The rain shall fall before you are ready,
the gales will knock you back down.
Even now when the sun seems so bright and so steady,
watch the clouds circle in as a crown.
Your heart's beating faster; impending disaster,
is coming, and you know it, too.
Perhaps you can't tell how to rise as the master,
of all that you say, think, and do.
But such is the cost of all beauty,
how can flowers grow without the rain?
Take courage, and breathe; accept your duty,
in doing so you might stay sane.
The showers of May may deceive you.
May the flowers of May never leave you.
