Maws House Slippers

Grandma's house slippers were falling apart. She continued to wear them, with the soles falling off. Mama would ask, why not buy new shoes? There was a look of sadness and anger coming thru. As I sat wondering why maw was so upset? I snuck down the hall, to find her in her bed. She held close an old photo, in black n white ink. A picture of her and grandpa, holding a dancing trophy. She pointed for me to sit next to her. As she looked down towards her old house slippers. This is the last gift he gave to me. On our last spent together anniversary. He chuckled and said , when these are wore thin. You will be closer to dancing with me in heaven. I want you to get, plenty of rest. I need your feet, to be at their best. When I see you again, We will be angels next to Him. Giving him all the Glory, for all his blessings.
