Matters of the Heart

Cancer can take the strongest man,
       and bring him to his knees.
   Cancer can take the happiest girl,
  and crush all her hopes and dreams.

It seems Cancer can take whatever it wants,
       what a strong and powerful foe.
 But this isn't true with Matters of the Heart,
         and I'll tell you how I know..
 
  Cancer can't take away memories ,
    of good times that you shared.
Cancer can't take the life he gave to you,
 even though his  was not to be spared ..

  Cancer can't the friendship you had,  
      this is yours forever to keep..
      Cancer Can't take away Love,
for it's a river that runs much to deep..

       Cancer can't take all of him 
               that's in you.  
        It's a Matter of the Heart, 
     and will always shine through..
