Mohan, thank you my friend. I can imagine that it is common in India especially since it is the national bird. They are my favorite birds and as a result I collect motifs with peacocks - ornaments, jewellry, etc. Best wishes.

It's a sure of rain, Pandita. We in our language say May-ao, may-ao, May meaning rain and Ao meaning welcome, welcome rain

My Native American maternal grandfather would say. "Rain comes, earth drinks, great Spirit showers us today"!!!! He could speak Choctaw but always spoke in English to we grandkids..
