Master Bathroom Blues

sitting on the toilet
wondering how we got
here

your arms are crossed
while my genitals shake
convulsively

my pulse reacts to even a hint
of your unpredictable movement

i deserve to be a murder victim
tonight, and you deserve better

an apology is like a pebble that will
not skip in a lake

heartbeats tire but are but eyes are stone
stubborn

green lights outshine the cautionary precaution,
and truth has blocked arteries ignorant to obvious
prevention

if only certain doctors made housecalls....
