Masks
Masks are truly the most terrifying of things
Physical or emotional we wear them like the songbird sings
Everybody has one, of that there is no doubt
We wear them to hide things that no one should find out
Paper thin and fragile as ice
Its all you need for one to think you're nice
But you know that that's not right
A mask is just easier than a fight
When you're alone the mask comes off
And while you stare at it you scoff
For this is not the real you, how could it be?
Nobody is normal and happy cant you see?
You are broken, dark and just plain sad
But you mask is purely glad
A greater difference there is none
And you know you aren't the only one
We wear them to hide things that no one should find out
Everybody has one, of that there is no doubt
Physical or emotional we wear them like the songbird sings
Masks are truly the most terrifying of things
