Masks
Masks
I look at you, you look at me
Do you see me?
My mask showing only my eyes,
Yours showing only yours,
Do you see me smiling?
The masks we wear everyday,
Do they tell our stories,
Or are they now one more way to hide?
Look into my eyes, do you see what kind of day I've had,
I look into yours, it's a mystery,
Has my mask given me one more reason to lie?
You and me, our mask me must wear,
But what does this all mean?
I used to be able to use my smile to say hello, how are you?
You used to be able to use yours to say, I'm fine.
I guess now we will have to find another way to show
Our feelings?
As I look into your eyes as you look into mine
Only our eyes to see,
I wonder how are you really and then I wonder
Do you see me?
