Marys Song

A dream of a fresher day,
Green, warm and unshackled.
To be one, as before,
Bated, my breath is ever held.

When free we walk again,
The day flesh is returned to earth.
Our sun will work another dream,
Eternal will walk the soul.

This day is closer than remembered,
Closer still as each day dies.
Preparation will be necessary
On, on, on forever and again.

To time we no longer serve,
Before us, it will then yield.
Proud though headstrong is my path,
I will tread on, intended.
