Mary and Her Son

Oh how difficult does seem to be life
Thankfully, oh thankfully of the mercy of the Lord, have I been given some proof
Some proof of which I do carry a bit in my soul
Yes, the child of God do I carry in my womb, even if I do be suffering my fall

My fall yes, for, surely, the skies were once my home
And for some reason or another, I was pushed off from this vast kingdom
Now, graced do I feel
For my whole being does be in a state of thrill

Even if I do be in great suffering
Why, a great feat will I be accomplishing
The child of the skies, to me, will be born soon
See, see, it must only be the Great Lord's boon

Else, why would He have given me this privilege
Suffer shall I as long as I shall follow him, such does be my pledge
For humankind does be not at fault, humankind does be basking in a light so dim
Certain am I that the child of God, mine own child, shall have the world following him

The moment is coming, I can feel the angels' prayers on me
Everything shall be as it has been decided
I am none other than the simple Mary
The one to whom a man of faith has agreed to help, by being to me, wedded!

I know not of my pain
I remember only being lost in a celestial refrain
Angels were singing
To help me forget of my pain, so intensely was it throbbing

Then, I woke up from the nether
I woke up and saw that next to me was my little wonder
Looking at my son, I could not help but shed some tears
While my son looked at me, ignorant of his destiny and without any care

You shall follow your destiny said I to him, while I gave him a kiss
You shall follow your destiny and help bring on humankind some peace
I shall be there, the world shall follow you
For such has been chosen already by the One Reality which does be true

I am weak now, I do need my sleep
See, see, how the barn is alive
In the same manner, with your name, the whole world shall breathe
For your soul does carry secrets, secrets emanating from space, oh so deep!

I am none other than Mary
I did share with my son some moments of motherly intimacy
I shall never have such an opportunity, but I shall follow my destiny of course
I shall follow my destiny and go wherever it takes me, even if it shall be so coarse!
