Vessel for the holy
Deliverer of hope
A package more important
Than a queen, a king, or pope.
You said yes to your assignment
Not quite understanding why
Your trust in heaven's destiny
No witness can deny
I love divine endorsement
For the lowly and the other
Fulfilled within this story
Of a precious teenage mother
What stories can you tell us
That were hidden from the text?
This boy that would deliver us
From this world to the next..
And did the future echoes
Of the journey you were on
Ever tell of how your son would be
Within each Christmas song?
Once the angels had departed
And the sky returned to still
You inspired us with your story
And I hope you always will.
