Martyred Peace

A flying milky dove was shot dead; drops of blood fell on soil and poppies bloomed. It's gruesome to see what is happening all around in the name of power.

I agree w/the other talented poets/poetesses, such a poignant poem, Afzal. Very profound imagery against war and violence. An unnerving yet realistic portrayal of the cause and effect of conflict unresolved. Love this poem though. Love and peace to you, friend.
