Marriages Are Made In Heaven
I still remember that day
Just like another arranged marriage scenario
Boys family was coming to see me
After they came elders said why don't you go in and talk
we went in and talked about spiritualism
He told me about his Guru and I listened mesmerized
After they left everyone asked me you were talking for 45 minutes
What were you talking?
I was stunned
45 minutes had passed away like few seconds
When elders asked me what have you decided?
I said I am not sure
It seems too good to be true
I can't believe it
There must be some mistake in it
He is so very much like me in thoughts and passions
I am scared that I will be making a hasty decision
All laughed at me
Next day he came with his sister to meet me
He gave me a book to read.
A day later I was jittery
They had not yet called up and said yes
What if they didn't like me?
Everyone said if it were a no he will not gift you a book
I was not sure
Finally by the end of the day they called up to say yes
I jumped in joy
It seemed like a dream come true
Afterwards when all asked me details of his looks I had no answer
I hadn't noticed
I didn't know how much he earned
I didn't know anything much about him yet was overjoyed to be marrying him
Now my husband says moment I saw you I had decided
It was love at first sight for me
You won me over by your enchanting smile
It is said marriages are made in heaven
I believe now!
