Marriage

Decades of memory's dancing around us
But sometimes love turns around and changes
Turning what was once destiny into misery
Loves soft hands turn out to lash against us
Leading what was happy to sadness
Our emotions always lead us back to what was
But can never be reality again
Heartache, anger and spinning emotions
We're greedy for what we want for what we think to be ours
Then at last we find out it was never ours to begin with
Even know some of us wear a ring
We're really just caught in a web of diamonds
Our mind shows us the past and let's us dream of the future
While our hearts tell us what we want and need is love
But at the end all we find when we need someone is were alone
Marriage is just a game if unity that unties us until there's no more us to give
A bleak existence in a realm of feeling we are not whole until we fill our desires
Playmates for a time until we become mon existent to each other
Our hearts are there to trick us our minds are there to play games
Until we figure out that we don't need anybody when we can stand and say I am the only one who needs me ....
