Marriage

The ceremony is over, The register has been signed: Two people, very much in love, Walk slowly down the aisle. The bride, radiant and happy – The man she loves right by her side; The groom smiles proudly at his wife – And they walk out of the church, To show the waiting world, They have made their vows – So begins their life together, as man and wife. Now the reception is over, Toasts have been proposed and speeches made. The cake cut, The photographer gone. And confetti lies on the ground. Guests have gone home. Now, the bride and groom Set off on their honeymoon. The happy couple arrive at an unknown destination, Together and alone at last. And there we must leave them On their wedding night, To begin their life as man and wife. With passion and love that will reign supremely, ‘Til death them do part God bless the bride and groom.
