Marigolds in Winter

On a cold winters day, Looking out my window, I only see the humble Marigold on display, To lift the winter shadow, That spoils my day, As the sun gives off only a paltry glow.

Thanks for comment. Our marigolds flower all year. May be climate or ours are hybrids. They survive frosts which other flowers do not. In summer their yellow and orange ones give a nice contrast. Hugs back David in NZ

Thanks Victor. We have the yellow and ones the more orange ones. Don't know if they are hybrids or not but gives nice contrast. Most sustained period of constant rain we have had here for while but no flooding here in our part of Wainuiomata Lower Hutt but Wellington 35 k away a bit more prone to slips and flooding.
