Maria

You stayed with me when i was broke and all I could give was affection,
no fancy dates , pizza pockets with grape juice i waited rejection.
Though you saw what I never could and taught me that love was just a perception,
lost and found In everyone.
I was still too young to understand the depth of your words,
your beautiful conception,
until that day
That day
when the snow fell red on the white blanket in the night , revealing your painful projection .
That night
I lost her
Returning her to the arms of the angels protection ,
but on that day i found love.

Deeply felt words ring crystal clear for the reader. "pizza pockets and grape juice" what an image.
