Marching On
Do you remember
When the moon and the stars were jealous?
And the world applauded as we danced?
Now, I hear drums
And you hear brass
And I stumble
Trying to recapture our rhythm
I've tried, love, I've tried
To remember what I used to do
That made your heart smile
Now we intersect without collision
But not without violence
And I'm starting to feel numb
So on we March
For a blessed audience of three
With bloodless hands
And blistered hearts
