March Madness

They call it March Madness
  this NCAA Men's Basketball Tourney

For all but one team, though, it's sadness
as a stinging defeat ends their athletic journey

True. Nice couplets, Gershon. Lots of hoopla; lots of sadness!

March Madness often does end in sadness for these fellows, although the memories restore the magic. Thanks, Milt!

This pandemic caused March madness of a different sort.

Well, the NCAA is going smoothly, at least. Only one game canceled so far. :) gw

Used to be I would never miss this tournament but I really miss the crowds screaming and yelling. Oh well. Have a good one. John

It's all so strange, these games without crowds. They seem like glorified scrimmages to me. Wait 'til next year, as they say. Take good care, John. :) gw

A lot of favorites were upset this year. It seems like sports related poems don't get many reviews, and some don't get any at all. I was glad to read this one.

You're right about sports poems here on the Soup. I'm with you, esp. as I like to write them. NCAA, all the way, Robert! :) gw
