March

You swing onto the ramp of anticipation
     then sputter and stall, deceleration
   March, thy name is frustration

Your southern breezes arise and tease
‘til night plunges the ground in deep-freeze
   March, your late frosts displease

Your rains help the leaves start to bud
then your snows turn frail flowers to duds
March, your name I spell M-U-D

I enjoyed reading this creative "March" write. Come on be nice to March. March should not be called MUD. How about FUN??? Blame the MUD on the rain not on March. March Fun to open up to spring. Have fun March day writing away..................

Great description. Exactly what is going on here! Now today, it is snow and frigid wind. No more lawn to be seen. I love your writing Gershon . Keep it up :)

Heidi, thank you for the unparalleled enthusiasm for my efforts at poetry. By the way, the feeling is mutual. The way you have of drawing your reader into your poem to feel what you are feeling is truly unique. Write on, my friend. Excelsior! ~ Gershon
