Mara and her peacock are colorful and stuck up in ways.
Others cannot fathom or argue against their union however.
Exotic and erotic, they converse daily about fantastical things.
Keeping their secrets hidden from the rest of us, mere peons.
I look past them, studying the mirror hoping for some answers.
She reveals nothing, acknowledging me not in the least.
Keeping their counsel and their trust, on their side totally.
Reflecting none of Mara or Peddipant’s secrets.
No surprise to me, the artist.
