Many Thoughts
How do I express
The many thoughts
That run in my mind
Like a river:
The thought of happiness
Each time I remember
The evanescence of our life
The thought of laughter
Each time I remember the folly of man
The thought of love
Each time I remember
The ones I love
The thought of forgiveness
Each time I remember
Those that offend me
The thought of guilt
Each time I remember
Those that I offend
The thought of gratitude
Each time I remember
Those with benevolent hearts
Should I write it on the sand
Away will the wind blow it
Should I write it on water
No sooner will I do
Than it will flow away
Maybe then I write beautiful poems
For the whole world to read
