Many Miles

You came tumbling Diving into my yesterday Freeing my spirit But hanging me on every word you said Feigning emotion Then piercing me to shreds And I have broken pieces to sweep up While you make yourself whole Oh you wily one Feasting on your daily bread On the very blood of my soul How can you breathe? Living like a thunderbolt Yet So cloudy in my head The world will not be at your feet my dear And I've walked many miles away from here Many miles away Many miles away
