How blessed we were back then and how- not knowing then what we know now; our hearts stayed warm with love's first glow- many, many long years ago. Our love did multiply by three- One son, two daughters came to be- grew from our love- theirs too would sow- many, many long years ago. For from their loves, were added five sweet grandchildren who did arrive. Of those, one now- ne'er dreamed would grow- many, many long years ago- a brand new branch upon our tree- child of our son's child- soon we'll see- great-granddaughter! Such joy- who'd know- many, many long years ago. July 12, 2019 Contest: Favourite Poem in Rhyme from July 2019 Sponsor: Julia Ward Our beautiful great-granddaughter was born August 28, 2019
