Man's World
She's contagiously wrong for you
Her smile and laugh are
masters you resent bowing to
On bended knees asking,
God, why does she have to be
your undoing?
Doing things inherently wrong
justifying tasting the sweetest sin
as righteous kool-aid
the red kind that
leaves your tongue and lips
stained and you swear
you wouldn't mind drinking
all of her pain away
That simple thought
has you thinking
Jesus, your wrong for placing
so many skin receptors
in one location
her fingertips cause
hearts to stop
and restart
hard to keep clothes on
talking about
nothing in particular
Her smile is witnessing
light escape heaven
Her laughter sows seeds
across a field of spirituality
and her flower
is the only one your harvesting
She's the heightened existence
of God's residue
after He finished making
love to the universe
What was conceived,
was she, the best part of a
man's world, her ingredients
made it all the more
spectacular
