Mankind
Mankind is a menace. He manages
To break that which is unbroken, and fix
What isn’t broke; Trespasses some places
Which are sacred to most. Savors conflict
Over harmony, unhappy when there's
None. Unfeelingly sloughs his only brother
Just to win his lovely wife. Unaware
He’s inhuman, hardly caring for others,
But demands it for himself. A selfish,
Greedy brute who takes more than is needed.
Destroys altars of worship; vanquishes
The weak, oft their cries will go unheeded.
This is the race that I’m a member of.
Ashamed, but a race I still deeply love.
