Manipulators

MANIPULATORS Cats are manipulators Putting paws around your neck But suddenly they are traitors Though you are at their call and beck He’s purring in your ear - right inside When wanting food or a stroke But turning his “one-eyed side” To you when grocery store seems broke Sitting on knee, kneading Or maybe dozing with paws tucked in Until someone else offers feeding Then he’s gone, to your chagrin He’ll chase a paper if it might suit But then ignore your dangling string Oh, his behavior can be cute But of manipulators he is king.
