Manipulated
Crushed, you squeeze my heart between your palms,
I stay still, a broken doll fell to her knees,
you smile and laugh and speak,
The Devils words.
You call love obsession,
mock my dedication,
make confetti of my hope,
and shatter my faith.
My body shakes, wracked with sobs,
I forget to breath,
gasping for air as I drown in my grief.
They whisper in your ears all night,
stealing your love for me and replacing it with hate,
filling your mind with poison.
You forget how to say I love you,
that you mean those words,
you forget the way you hold me late at night,
and the way you call me your girl.
Are you brainwashed,
are you just too weak to understand?
you make a mockery of my love for you,
we could have been a family,
but you let them destroy our love.
