Notes About The Poem

Grandpa had a mango plantation

at Northern Lagoon, in Belize

but now, squatters...

Mango

Make a mango levitate in water
Look at its surface like a buoy floating
Pretend there's a treasure chest attached below
Peel the skin to reveal pure gold
Hollow out the mango holding a gem.
