Man With the Voice

There was a man named Elvis
Whom they say had a gift
That gift was his voice
A voice that always had a lift.

He was a great man who lived
A friend to everyone he touched
He was happy making others happy,
Let the poor, feel there was hope;
He had a voice that did so much.

Gave the meaning of giving
Like air to which we breathe
Enjoyed grateful looks, of the living,
To see he's trying to help out;
In a life, with so much misery.

So here we go with that voice
That was trying to change this world
To be more of a giving one
And let us know, we all, have a choice.

I agree that this is a nice tribute to the late Elvis. This cannot be classified as an "acrostic". The first letters in each line have to spell something. However, this is a great rhyming poem.
