Man On the Sidewalk

To: the “Timeless” One Like parallel lines that don’t intersect Like strangers in subways that never connect Like messages in bottles that never reach shore Like a drained stream, I don’t try any more. Because You’re like a stormy cloud that dampened my light Like a blank stare in the dead of the night Like a worn out movie that’s stuck on rewind You’re that man on the sidewalk, ten steps behind. Love, The Hourglass

I know, I mean KNOW that I commented on this creative poem. Where did it go? We'll never know. Bonus, upside is I got to enjoy reading it all over again. You have a healthy imagination that your pen harmonizes with in a spectacularly unique way. I hope this stays in the box, on the page and behaves. Poetry hugs ... CayCay

Hi CayCay! I'm behind in my readings again. I really need to quit all my extracurricular activities (evil smile) and write, but I've drawn a blank lately. Thank you for your kindness, Dearheart.
