Man In the Mirror

Looking into the mirror,
what is it that I see?
i'm not sure whats really there,
but I know its not me.

Backing away from the glass,
I see its far from blank,
I stood back in the shadows,
as my heart slowly sank.

its you in the mirror,
not my face that I see.
who have you become...
what will you turn out to be?

on the surface your fine,
but something inside you lack,
that hole is what's reflected,
it's why I can't turn my back.

so you start to turn away,
your heart doesn't really want to,
you think your keeping me safe,
but you don't see that I still love you?
