Mama-Put: the True Mother of All

Roadside, common food vendor she may seem
Amidst the belittling name she is called wrongly
From eternity they have survived to sustain
The real mass of humans on this planet earth

Sweating in labour before the crack of daylight
In time to have ready in good quantity and taste
Enough for the truly hungry who do the labour
Which the lazy bourgeoisie claims as his feat

Mama-Put is her true nature from home
As a true mother she serves the entire people
The only opportunity for some to ever stay alive
Same, severed from their own roots of existence

From the bean cake to the exotic soups
The firewood is the preferred choice of fuel
Unleashing the blessing of the Vibhuti ash
Upon the meal of man for Divine vigour

Keeping the people and her Nation alive
The true heroine of all time and season
She will live forever with us to sustain
To share her love and food for all
