            without a blemish
        horizontal stripe in blue
         spread on virgin white

            steeped in history
George Cross displayed for valour
       proud red and white flag

Andrea Dietrich July 27, 2015 at 7:37 PM yes, you know me well guessing Teasdale for me. I am so silly though. I did not realize I had to do different THEME. I did not want to SEE what she wrote becuase I did not want to be influenced. So I went back to see the poem and found that of course, she had made it a love poem. What other way to do it?? I hope It does not keep me off the winners' list!! I will try to find a poem of yours I have not yet read, but wish me luck. Gotta make dinner soon!! My wife is English, and her father was on the cannons in Malta during the war, too. He was here when the George Cross was awarded for bravery to Malta and its people in 1942. All the best. // paul
