Mali
a seasonal haste captured me
in the mist of toiled follies
and meaningful gestures
i'd yet to foretell
a heavenly hint of paradise
beyond the garden gates
faint notions aroused
my melancholy mind
offering jaded scores
amid the calm hues beckoning
my inner warmth i suppose
i'd remember colorful leaves
gathered beneath oak
and maple bark fascinated
quietly throughout cold lillies
and the laughter of cunning
african violets clustering
between earth and crisp air
whispering the pleasant sound
of damp sunlight dancing
quaintly about the stillness
of thy playful soul
