Isaac Asimov was the most prolific English-language author of the 20th century, publishing 517 books on a wide range of subjects including chemistry, physics, science-fiction, language and mathematics. Known best for 'his 'I, Robot' stories, his five-book 'Foundation' sci-fi series, and his delightful sense of humor, Asimov produced everything on an old upright typewriter.

Makes Sense to Me

    When asked if he worried about a robot replacing him
       the author, Isaac Asimov, came up with this little gem

    When I myself don’t understand what it is that I do
       How can a machine expect an Asimov novel to construe

I have not read his works, but now I am curious. You may make my husband rue that you have me roused my interest! I am a bit of a book lover and own far too many already. Maybe a visit to the library is in order :)

I’m a huge fan of Isaac Asimov and have read most of his books. His Foundation series is my absolute favorite. Your poem made me smile—‘When I myself don’t understand what it is that I do…’ By the way, Gershon, how can I add a note at the beginning of a poem?
