Makes Me Still
This time
This air
This wind
I hear the changing tides
I see a rising moon
Stood here on the hill
The village yonder glistens through
I see the street light reflect in the clouds under beating wings of geese in flight.
I hear the winds carry the humming village tune on this magnificent summer night.
Drink in the evening air and bite into the wind
The sounds and feelings here float past into history
Never to be the same again, never again will eyes see
The feelings in the air tonight, the sounds echoing in the moony mist around me
They will never be the same again, this moment now makes me still. They will never be same again because the people, the time and the sounds in the summer air never will.
