Make Up Tears

the darkened tears streamed down her face
rolling down looking out of place
making her face pale with panda eyes
looking in the mirror letting out a deep sigh

sadness shook her body cold
maybe she was just too bold
bleary eyed and blotchy cheek
as her eyes began to leak

she closed her eyes to block the pain
as a distant voice called her name
voices came from miles away
voices of hope, desperation and pray

"open your eyes" she said to herself
as the doctors talk about her health
they left her room and her alone
left her to think about family friends and home

all i wanted was just a bit of fun
now look at me and what I've become
caught up unaware of my fears
as i plea silently through my make up tears
