Make Their World Brighter Than Yours
It's about time
we switched to a happier tune,
it's about time
we flew a kite in the sunny afternoon;
make their world brighter than yours,
teach them how to sing louder:
isn't life wonderful when people
finally, take the flight of the eagle?
Make their world brighter than yours,
show them new horizons
as bright as my morning;
give them that reason for living,
not for dying in the arms of strangers!
It's about time
we honored our mothers,
and lend a hand to our brothers
and returned to God
with repenting hearts...
and see wonders to behold;
it's about time
we understood
their pain and ignore ours:
must their hopes be half-truths?
Make their world brighter than yours,
they are standing on the sharp edge of the cliff...
longing for our voice to spare them from death;
we wouldn't understand, unless...
we have been there ourselves,
feeling so lost and hopeless!
Oh, make their world brighter than yours!
