Make That Change

Being so closed in and so completely tied down
There was no way to win and soon he would drown
With no hope in sight or any chance to redeem
Always having to fight or at least so it would seem

Day in and day out nothing ever seemed to change
Every day was a bout and nothing seemed strange
Alone and not well all he could do was sit and think
His whole life was like hell and now he’s on the brink

And as the sun would rise the sun would then set
And within those eyes there was little life left yet
But on this night in his mind he felt this little glow
Oh! what would he find what would he come to know!

Today he is completely free and calmly walks about
As now he can truly see no longer filled with any doubt
He found Jesus is what he did it was He who opened up his eyes
For so many years he had hid and nearly died among those lies
