Make Memories
Leave
one day
but not soon
in the future
when the time has come
when the moment is ripe
when the heart has learned to cope
the bittersweet pain of parting
gather enough memories to hold
have them lock in the safety of your heart
one day in your life, you may need them all
like your need for the rain and the sun
your need for the spring and summer
in the autumn of your heart
to warm your winter nights
when life is lonely
make memories
while you still
have time
left
