Majestic Morning

One morning I went out to my balcony to watch sunrise. Sun had not yet come. I thought let me meditate. Closed my eyes, stopped meandering mind, became still. Eyes closed, mind thoughtless, I became aware of sounds in my surroundings. Birds were singing melodic music. I was filled with exhilaration. Memory recognised most rhythms. One sound was louder than others. It was familiar but I couldn't figure it out. Out of curiosity I opened my eyes to see. orange sky, red sun sparrows, crows, mynas, pigeons ~ baby squirrel squeaks I watched spellbound the beauty of surrounds. Leaves and  flowers were dancing to the music of birds and flow of breeze. Colourful butterflies were fluttering. Nature was enacting a well orchestrated performance to welcome sun. dressed in best attires flora, fauna, sing and dance ~ sun showers blessings ~~~~~~ 31.03.2021 Inspired by: Contest Name : Moments Of Reflections - Haibun Sponsor : Malabika Ray Choudhury Winner 2nd place
