Main Man

He has just inherited three million dollars,
He will never work again.
The main man with three million dollars,
Yet he doesn’t understand the concept of money.

He has just waged war on a nation,
A people destroyed for his profit.
Children cry on dead parents graves,
Yet he doesn’t understand the concept of death.

He has just raped an innocent young girl,
Her shame will never leave her silent thoughts.
A beauty destroyed in an instant,
Yet he doesn’t understand the concept of love.

He has just killed a man for his colour,
No other issue registered in his mind.
An age-old tribal indifference,
Yet he doesn’t understand the concept of understanding

He has just died at the hands of a gun-man,
His hands covered in his own blood,
No spirit, he considered himself immortal,
Now he has no understanding at all.
