Maiden Flight

In the Eden
Of my heart
As I trembled in
Your arms

While we skipped
The light Fandango
and you set
Off all alarms

Will be hurt me?
I don't care
He delights me
Heart and soul

This Eve was
On a trajectory
Of which
She lost control

In a pitiful ruse
 to close the gap
I asked to
Have a dance

You said why not
And the thrill
I got made me
almost pee my pants

Then I looked you
In the eye
Like a fourteen year old
said I like you ,do you feel the same?

Though I appeared to be
a woman of about twenty three
being coy
Wasn't part of my game

With a look of
Pleased confusion
You said Hon I can
Use all the friends I can get

We laughed and
We loved for over two years
And our meeting I'll
never regret

You went on
to marry a lovely girl
Who made you a father
times three

Was widowed before
The oldest was ten
A heart wrenching
Tragedy

You have to know
There's a place just for you
Kept fresh and shiny
And clean

Though our time
Went so fast
And was not meant to last
Your the finest man I've ever seen

        Love you always,

                     Quick Vick

Ps. Easy on the eyes as well.
