Leaving her blue salty home,
she emerges from the sea
changing her fish tail into human legs
within the times of the full moon.
Her bare figure exposed;
long auburn tresses swaddles her frame
as she walks silently on the sandy beach
to dance like a maiden of charm.
Reaching out to touch the wings
of the seabirds as they cry
breaking the silence of the moonlit night.
Embedding and feeling every grain of sand
between her toes, as waves ebbs, and flows behind;
she waits in the hopes to purchase a glimpse
of her lover not knowing within the ocean depth
he and his ship rests at the bottom of the sea.
