Mai Tai Madness

Mai Tai Madness ~Oh, my friend, Gloria!~ Funny~till drinks made her totally unstable. We nearly got killed in her car! When on the Golden Gate Bridge, she screamed" I left my sweater back at the bar." Making a U-turn in the middle of the Golden Gate Bridge at rush hour, OMG,no less!  Cuss words and the "bird" were so shocking, I must confess. I made the sign of the cross, said my final prayers, with closed eyes. My stomach filled with a flurry  of butterflies. So grateful was I to get home in one piece, I literally cried and begged God to give Gloria, sober peace. June 22, 2019 3:30 pm PST

Wow, a journey of terror, love this poem, so realistic, and love the point of it all,

Terryfying as a plane about to crash! Thank you Harry for sharing with me, how it effected you. It's a guide for me, a lighthouse, if you will, to know more about how I can be a better poet. Thank you...PR

This happens in different forms..kudos, Panagiota for the scene you painted and the emotions that evoked with your piece..you also gave a voice to something many face and can't control.

Happy to know you liked how I painted the scene. Yes, it a problem in high denial worldwide. That does not mean people cannot recover. They do! It's a gift from God to be free of any substance or anything people abuse...food included! PR. There is an endless list of things humans are addicted to. PR

"When on the Golden Gate Bridge, she screamed" I left my sweater back at the bar." - the U-turn at rush hour on the Golden Gate Bridge was totally unexpected, but you sure had my curiosity up on the quote above! Good one.
