We have magpies too. one used to sit on top of goal posts at school and dive bomb the unwary. My mother nursed one back to health and then set free. Important poem Well penned. Simple yet elegant description sometimes less is more. I have to force myself sometimes to not add more and spoil poem. A balancing act. Same with physical projects. Best regards David

Your haiku depicts a magpie that scavenges for trash left behind by passing visitors. Your selection of one from your recent journey is very inspiring, Kim!

A vivid image of a magpie that feeds on food thrown by tourists. In tourist destinations, birds and animals like monkeys and squirrels thrive on food dropped by tourists.

Dear Kim, You’ve captured such a wonderful little moment, that flash of black and white against the wide Wyoming sky. I love how you let the magpie be both beautiful and practical, a survivor making the most of what we leave behind. A lovely pair of haiku, my friend. Blessings, Daniel
