Magic of the Day

The Magic of The Day

A wise man asked me, "Son
What if you found you're the one,
That could, perform magic all day long
How would you use this gift
Would you give the world a lift
And right everything that you found wrong"

Well, I didn't have to think
When my eye shot him a wink
Then told him exactly what I'd do
I'd find some homeless in the street
Give those boys something to eat
Then pass them out a blanket, maybe two

Help my neighbor fix his car
Drive a friend home from the bar
Fix a flat, for someone stranded on the road
Find that old stray cat a home
Give my dog a nice new bone
And payback my brother what I've owed

Hold a door open wide
Help the elderly inside
Be patient with the driver in my way
I'd encourage those who try
Put smiles, on all who cry
That's "IF" I had that magic here today

Sounds to me like you've already got the magic, my friend. I think the real magic is that you passed that on to the rest of us and made us think about a thing or two that we can do to make someones life easier. Thank you, Jerry. Your friend..... Robert.
