Magic

Magic By Rick Rucker Magic happens, I won’t lie, I’ll remember it ‘til I die, Ultra nervous, on a date, The hour was really getting late. We were talking in her car, When I saw a shooting star. I made a wish, like I do, That I would find my Love, so true. Sitting in the secluded place, A nimbus shone around her face! I decided to put my trust in Fate, To her, I did, my Love, relate. It took what seemed a minute, But, a clench, we were soon in it! I began to give her a massage, My hunger it did not assuage. She seemed of a common mind, For she was not far behind! Our tortured breathing soon had steamed The windows, as I’d only dreamed. If someone saw the fog that covers The windows, he would know that lovers Were trying to get as far As they could, in a tiny car! Soon, common sense prevailed And our lust was thus derailed, Was it that wish upon a star? Thwarted by a little car, Did it make that night tragic? Nay, I know it was MAGIC!
