Magic

Magic What if magic was real? What if the only reason you didn’t believe it, Was because you were taught it was only in fairy tales? But what if it was something? What if the nothing was something Not from a book? What if the nothing was something hidden by crooks? What if the nothing was something that was taught? Then nothing would be something, and be accepted quite a lot. But something is nothing now, And it isn’t taught or accepted In fact, if you believe in anything that isn’t taught You’ll probably be laughed at and neglected. Because, well… That just isn’t respected But what if something could happen from nothing? and all it took Was for you to stop listening to others, And begin to write your own fairy tale book? My imagination was captured by the magic of your verse, Kale, and I enjoyed your enchanting introspection. I especially loved your last stanza.. indeed, the magic is within. Warmest wishes for a happy new year.. ~Susan

Thank you so much for those kind words Susan, that is the exact purpose of the poem. Everyone has magic within them. However, to use the magic within, one must first realize that it is there, and no one else can teach you this or show you this, and for the most part no one will believe you. One must believe in them self. Thanks again, Happy new year and the best to you and yours!
