“MAGDALENA #3”
never forget the name of this poet.
the name will bring you assurance of a love unlike any other.
you will be given strength,
thoughts you may not have thought,
some vexation,
some warmth,
inspiration for bigger things than you’ve ever imagined,
a significance stretching out farther than you can see,
everything with the strength of bear paws and claws to show you
why your ordinary has that little extra.
I’ll be there to give you anything you need to make the
craziness go insane.
as you wipe the makeup from your face,
undress from your day,
hold a temporary state of being emotionless,
wonder what tomorrow will bring,
laugh for no reason,
walk or just sleep,
I am a call away.
no matter the trial,
know that I am the backup for your life.
never forget my love for you.
when you need it,
it’ll be there for you to pick up.
hold it forever like the love for the children we will one day
have.
my love doesn’t go out to many.
until then,
don’t forget me.
tonight,
I’ve written this poem about you,
my love in it has made you immortal.
